Br. Erich Neupert

The SALAM Board of Trustees decided to create a committee that is mandated to honor the efforts and dedication of volunteers who excel at SALAM. On the first Friday of every month, an award will be given to one volunteer who showed an impressive record of service to the SALAM community.

Br. Erich Neupert, who is a geologist with the state of California, will be the recipient of the first award for the Month of March.

Br. Erich has been involved with the SALAM activities and projects for the last two years. Since he joined the ranks of the SALAM volunteer Task Force, he expressed much devotion and dedication to the projects he took charge of. Br. Erich led a group of volunteers to create the new SALAM website, and to the present day works with volunteers to update and maintain it. Br. Erich was also put in charge of creating a promotion video for SALAM, which was played during the SALAM fundraising banquet in Ramadan of last year.

SALAM raised over $500,000 that night.
Br. Erich was recently given the responsibility of launching the SALAM Contemporary Issue Forum, which is an intellectual platform that will present opposing views on different issues of relevance to the present and future of the Muslim community in America, through a series of discussions and debates.

SALAM would like to take this opportunity to thank Br. Erich and to say Jazak Allahu Khayran for your dedicated service. May Allah bless you and your family.
