Dear all,

Asalaamu Alaikum,

While I am so grateful and honored to receive this recognition, I was so embarrassed to stand yesterday among people who devoted large part of their life and money to serve our Muslim community and SALAM members.  But after thinking of Imam Azeez’s speech about volunteerism, and Dr. Amer's  presentation about me, I was so pleased and thankful to God for the kind of leadership we have at SALAM, and said to myself this recognition is really for Dr. Amer, Br. Omar, and all the brothers and sisters of the board of trustees, committees and management.  It simply tells me, I am way behind and need to do much more and faster in order to catch up with the front runners like Dr. Amer, so I can feel proud when I stand among them in the future - God willing - to thank and recognize each one.  May God bless all of us.

Best regards,

Ameer

Wa alaikum assalaam Br. Ameer.

It was a moment of pride and great happiness for us to see you receiving the award at the Friday prayer gathering. Beyond doubt, your contributions to SALAM are numerous and truly appreciated by us--the SALAM team and members alike. We need to be thankful to people for what they do--just like we need to be thankful to God for all the gifts He gives us.

May God bless you and your family and give you much success and happiness. May He also keep us working together with love of Him for building the Masjid, a better Center and School, and a better comunity.

Your brother,

Irfan Haq
